Atlanta Blues Grinders

We are the Atlanta Blues Grinders!  A full 6 piece band of seasoned professionals performing classic and contemporary blues songs intermixed with, soul, rock and pop songs and we are  eager to please.  We don’t go on stage just to put on a show, we are authentic, each of us sharing a love for that special and fully American style of music, the blues.

We don’t try to reproduce a song as it was played by someone else, we interpret each song and play it in our own style.  The solos are always spontaneous and unique, true improvisation so that no two performances are ever exactly the same.  We play the music we truly love playing; our set list includes blues favorites recorded by Eric Clapton like Further on up the Road and Tore Down, along with classics like B.B. King’s, Rock Me Baby, and contemporary blues songs such as A Quitter Never Wins by Johnny Lang.

This band includes some top 100 songs like Gimme One Reason (Tracy Chapman) and Tennessee Whiskey (Chris Stapleton) played in our unique bluesy style.  We throw in some southern rock / blues classics like the Allman Brothers One Way Out and Stormy Monday as a tip of the hat to the South, as we are an Atlanta based band. We perform songs written or recorded by artists such as Bill Withers, Keb Mo, Buddy Guy, Little Walter, Clarence Carter, Bo Didley and the list goes on.

The members of the Atlanta Blues Grinders all have performed for years with various bands and have found an instant level of comfort and a special vibe playing together as a group.  The band features two guitarist, one also playing blues harmonica, a singer who also plays saxophone, a solid rhythm section (drums and bass) and keyboards.

Whether you’re organizing a corporate event, party or wedding reception the Atlanta Blues Grinders’ selection of high energy blues and soul intermixed with slow blues numbers and ballads creates a wonderful experience for our audiences. Your guests will leave having watched music being created organically and spontaneously right before their eyes - and ears.  For something different, authentic, classic… we are the Atlanta Blues Grinders.
