Biography
Marc Gunn Irish Pub Entertainer - Folk Celtic Autoharpist and Singer
Gunn's musical journey began modestly, wearing a kilt on the University of Texas campus. He later gained recognition as one half of the acclaimed Brobdingnagian Bards. After the duo's separation in 2008, Gunn ventured out on his own. He produced over 25 solo albums under his homespun Mage Records label. Notable works include "Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers," "Don’t Go Drinking With Hobbits," "Firefly Drinking Songs," "Scottish Songs of Drinking & Rebellion," and "Sci Fi Drinking Songs," contributing to his extensive catalog of over fifty albums.
His latest album is "Come Adventure With Me." It features some of his best songwriting yet with elements of Celtic music culture fused with themes drawn from Doctor Who, Firefly, Irish legends and The Hobbit.
Gunn's love of Celtic music runs deep. He is host to the largest podcast of Celtic music in the world. The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. It stands as one of the earliest and longest-lasting podcasts, securing four wins for Best Music Podcast in the Podcast Awards, the latest in 2022.
Driven by an adventurer's soul and family living overseas, Gunn combines his passion for travel with his love for music. Annually, he leads groups on Celtic Invasion Vacations, providing immersive experiences of culture, history, and legends, not just sightseeing.
Marc Gunn continues to redefine the music industry, setting and maintaining high standards. Through a blend of musical history, a vivid imagination, and unwavering ambition, he pioneers paths from traditional verses to cyberspace, inspiring others to follow suit.
