Biography
Dan, a Jazz guitarist and composer originally from Detroit, discovered his passion for the guitar at the age of 9. One of his early influences was the legendary Jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery, inspiring Dan to embark on a journey to become a dedicated Jazz artist.
His commitment to Jazz led him to pursue a Bachelor's degree at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, majoring in Jazz Composition and Arranging. Later, he earned a Master's degree in Jazz Pedagogy from the University of Miami.
Currently residing in the Atlanta area, Dan is actively involved in the music scene. He teaches Jazz Guitar at Emory University and leads his own musical groups, in addition to engaging in freelance guitar work. Dan has released four CDs with Blue Canoe Records, with his most recent work being a collaboration with Hammond B3 virtuoso David Ellington titled "Organ Trio."
