Denim Arcade - The 80's Tribute Atlanta Band
    Biography
Atlanta Wedding Band - Country Club Member Guest - Theme Party Atlanta Band

    Denim Arcade

Do you remember the days when MTV still played music videos?  Atlanta’s raddest 80s party band DENIM ARCADE takes you back to where it all began! What artists do you remember seeing on MTV in the 80s? Chances are that Denim Arcade has covered a song by that artist.

This band has been helping children of the 80s relive their childhood since 2010. With band members bringing a wealth of past interactive theatrical experience and showmanship into the band, the band is highly shtick-driven, escapist, audience-engaging, and all about having a great time with you at your event.

The show is known for blending elements of 80s pop culture and including video game sound effects, 80s costumes, and songs not commonly played by other cover bands. A Denim Arcade show is a totally awesome 80s party waiting to happen!

Oh, and speaking of band members, this band has held the same lineup for the entirety of its existence. No rotating cast of hired guns here! You’re bringing in four long-time friends who have been entertaining crowds at bars, restaurants, private events, parties, and municipal shows together for years and have actually put time and effort into the quirky antics that define the show. Becky, Wade, John, and Andy came together to form Denim Arcade.

They have with many decades of combined performing experience that has included everything from progressive rock to renaissance festivals to country to jazz to Shakespeare plays. The result was a prime opportunity to relive the 80s. The band and its ever-growing fan base of "Denim Arcadians" have not grown tired of reliving it, and you will enjoy reliving it too!

The repertoire, which consists of hours upon hours of available material, has been honed and developed based on what songs get people onto the dance floor! After the show launches with the moon landing guitar riff and “Video Killed The Radio Star” (you know, the way MTV launched back in 1981) and you’ll hear 80s rock (Journey, Duran Duran, Van Halen, The Outfield).  For 80s new wave, (The Cure, Duran Duran, Devo, The Cars) fits the bill.  For 80s synth pop, (Simple Minds, Prince, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper), 80s hair metal (Bon Jovi, Poison, Twisted Sister, Ratt), 80s girl power rock (Go-Gos, Joan Jett, Bangles, Pat Benatar), and more.

All are encouraged to deploy your mobile phone’s lighter app during “Home Sweet Home”, yell “Rusted” during “Love Shack”, tell the teacher to leave those kids alone during “Another Brick In The Wall (part 2)”, try to hit the high note during “Take On Me”, cut loose during “Footloose”, bang your head during “Bang Your Head”, celebrate during “Celebration”, and sing “Oh! Oh! Oh!” during “Straight Up”! Jump in the DeLorean with Denim Arcade and travel back in time, because when this show hits 88 miles per hour, you’re gonna hear some serious hits!
